I’m not sure why but ‘food’ has been mainly on my mind and events that I’ve been attending.  What can I say, beautiful 75-80 degree weather in Sunny Southern California gives me more reasons to go to these outdoor festive food events. This is the first year of the OC Foodie Fest, on there will be a “Foodie Preview” in Santa Ana August 7 from 7-10pm.  Here is some more information about it if you’re interested in going…

On a “Personal Note”…When I first heard the term “foodie” on Top Chief, I just thought it was a food enthusiast.  Here is the definition of it…”a person devoted to refined sensuous enjoyment (especially good food and drink)”…  That would be me!

Are you a photo geek?  Well, if you’re not…I sure AM!  I have been looking for this product for that last 6 months and finally I found it through Chung Nguyen Photography Blog, thanks Chung! When the Winter Olympics was going this year, there was a limited edition mug for the press by Canon, that looked just like the 70-200mm, and I wanted to get it but it was no where to be found.  Here is a link to what it looks like:

Definitely this lens mug is a camera-geeks joy! Check it out below, a Canon Camera Lens Mug, that looks JUST LIKE a Canon 24-105mm lens! It’s equipped with a lens-cap lid, rubber-grip focus and zoom rings, and an auto-focus switch that actually switches! It’s so realistic, you might have to use post-its just to remind yourself which is your mug and which is your lens!

On a “Personal Note”…This is how fast I ordered it…I saw it about 15 minutes ago and it’s already been ordered!  Hopefully I can get it soon so I can show it off to all my photographer geek friends, and I have a lot of them! LOL…  Until it arrives, I’ll be dreaming about how much fun I’ll have sipping coffee in it…

If you like Korean BBQ or a meat lover, this is the place to be this Saturday, August 7, 2010! The Second Annual Korean BBQ Cook-off, showcasing a selection of the best dishes by top Korean barbecue restaurants and vendors.

Admission is free, and all plates will be sold for $5 each. Last year’s Cook-off drew over 10,000 people, and this year’s event will feature more restaurants, a larger selection of vendors and a larger venue.

Here is  some more information about the event.  I won’t be going this weekend, I will be at Club 33 at Disneyland so I will have to catch this “Meat Lover” event next year.

When I met Abby at a the S Fine Dining Wedding Show early this year, she just lite up the room with her smile.  I just wanted to share some  photos of Abby and Jay during their engagement shoot in Padua Hills in Claremont.  Padua Hills is a wondering place to take engagement photos in Los Angeles before your wedding. The perfect weather,  perfect location,  and perfect couple made the photos breath taking!

On a “Personal Note”… I love how Abby kept her engagement session photos simple and elegant.  When selecting an engagement shoot wardrobe, sometimes a lot less goes a long way.  Keeping it simple and adding accent colors is a great way to express and make your photos pop!

If you are not busy tonight and are in the Los Angeles area, there is a charity event going on tonight called “Crash the Wedding” on August 10, 2010 from 6-10pm at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel, in Santa Monica.  I have worked on numerous events at the Loews Hotel and it’s beautiful!  Can’t beat the great weather, beautiful view, and fun time at this event!
