I have certainly not been as active as I want to be on my website and my blog due to one main reason, I recently became a mother and yes, to all my mothers out there… motherhood is WONDERFUL!

I wanted to update everyone and let them know there will be upcoming new changes to the website and blog, I am in the progress of giving both our sites a fresh new look.  I have SO MANY beautiful photos from our clients and events we’ve worked that I have not been able to post yet and share with our upcoming brides for inspiration.  There has been lots of exciting news and changes these past couple of months for our team and myself I can’t wait to share with everyone.

P.S…here is one of my few pictures post-pregnancy with my son, we were recently at the OC Fair enjoying the fried food, sunny gorgeous SoCal weather, and great company with old friends. I went to the fair just to have a jumbo corndog almost the size of my son…

I just love soft pink spring colors for a spring wedding.  The All Made Up Team, Orange County makeup artist and wedding hair stylist,  had the honor of working on Tina’s makeup and hair at her wedding this summer and be a part of her special day.  She was the most pleasant and beautiful bride to work with and looked stunning with her low bun wedding hair updo.  Tina wanted a timeless and elegant wedding hair updo that absolutely make her look stunning on her wedding day.  Her day was fill will laughter and fun with 5 beautiful bridesmaids on a beautiful sunny day for a wedding in Southern California!

Kristin Brancaleone of The Treasured Petal, created a “Sex In the City Bouquet” for our last workshop I worked on with Jasmine Star Photographer, called “The Workshop” focusing on branding for photographers.

Kristin a fabulous florist in Orange County created a bouquet, that was Sex In the City inspired by choosing unique elements that stand-out, for example pink flowers with playful textures and interesting shapes. The big pink princess protea in the middle is the star of the bouquet.  Including gathered fuchsia gloriosa lilies, sweet peas, ranuncula, Italian heather (hot stuff!), and perfect white hyacinth.

The ostrich and polka dotted guinea feathers complimented the black feathery center of the protea and added a little whimsy and movement to the bouquet.  It was tied  with white satin, draped it with black beads and more guinea feathers around the base. Black cocque tail feathers fluttering out from the bottom,  like  a feather duster that one of those jaunty little French maids might carry. LOL!

For all you Carry Bradshaw fans, we all hope you like this trendy, youthful, and fabulous Sex In the City inspired bouquet created for this special photo shoot with Jasmine Star and the All Made Up Team!  Thank you Kristin for always producing creative and unique masterpieces…we LOVE YOU!!!

The All Made Up Team had another great and fun workshop we did with Jasmine Star Photographer at her photographer seminar that focused on branding for photographers called “The Workshop” by Jasmine Star.  The photographer workshop targeted intermediate and experienced photographers who wanted to learn how to better brand themselves.  The photographer workshop focused in finding yourself and your style and learn creative and effective ways to brand your signature style and your business better.  The photographer workshop was located in Southern California, (Socal, CA) in the city of Irvine.

Though the day was warm in sunny Southern California for our lovely models below, Melinda and Vern, but it was bearable for all.  This was Jasmine Star’s third workshop and I enjoyed working on all the make-up and hair themes, looks, and designs with her.  She is a FABULOUS photographer and below are some the photos I posted on my blog from Jasmine Star’s blog.

The theme from this workshop was vintage, and really worked around Melinda’s beautiful Monique Lhuillier signature style lace couture wedding gown and incorporated lots of gold in her accessories.  The Monique Lhuillier wedding gown was elegant, classic, and timeless on Melinda.  The form fitting delicate Monique Lhuillier signature lace dress fit Melinda like a glove and essentuateed every curve on her tall slender physique.

Since I got my new HD Flip camera I’ve been been making an effort to record and use it at as many events as possible. And this past weekend I had the opportunity to hear Leyna Nguyen, a Vietnamese-American News Achor/Reportor for KCAL-TV, speak at the VANGusa.org (Leadership Conference).

This video is from a panel interview at the VANGusa.org Leadership Conference, about charity and giving back to your community and people in need of help. Love Across the Ocean.org is Leyna Nguyen’s charity organization that helps give back to the people of Vietnam.  Leyna also shares in this video her family background, family history, learning to “give back” at an early age, giving back to the community, and how rewarding it is to experience how GREAT it feels to be able to give back to not only to just your family and friends, but through a charity to strangers who are in need of your help.

I had the opportunity to hear Leyna Nguyen speak this past weekend at the VANGusa.org, a Vietnamese American Leadership Conference and learned more about her Love Across the Ocean.org charity organization,  Love Across the Ocean.org is a charity organization that gives back to the people of Vietnam.  Please visit her website for more information and please watch the video below about her family history, struggles, and how she started her organization.

One of my favorite quotes from her video was “I want to GIVE until I’m RICH” and that little phrase has so much meaning to me…and if you’ve “GIVEN” before with all your heart, soul, and efforts…you know how good it feels after you have, then you will understand how powerful this little phrase means…

A couple of weeks ago The All Made Up Team did a natural and soft bridal beauty makeover for one of our bridal models, here are some more teaser photos of what we did for our ‘Blushing Bride‘ theme.  We kept the colors neutral and soft, and kept the pink and brown tones, and kept this look clean and simple.  Hope you enjoy our wedding day and bridal beauty makeover.
