I’m not sure why but ‘food’ has been mainly on my mind and events that I’ve been attending. What can I say, beautiful 75-80 degree weather in Sunny Southern California gives me more reasons to go to these outdoor festive food events. This is the first year of the OC Foodie Fest, on there will be a “Foodie Preview” in Santa Ana August 7 from 7-10pm. Here is some more information about it if you’re interested in going…

On a “Personal Note”…When I first heard the term “foodie” on Top Chief, I just thought it was a food enthusiast. Here is the definition of it…”a person devoted to refined sensuous enjoyment (especially good food and drink)”… That would be me!
Are you a photo geek? Well, if you’re not…I sure AM! I have been looking for this product for that last 6 months and finally I found it through Chung Nguyen Photography Blog, thanks Chung! When the Winter Olympics was going this year, there was a limited edition mug for the press by Canon, that looked just like the 70-200mm, and I wanted to get it but it was no where to be found. Here is a link to what it looks like:
Definitely this lens mug is a camera-geeks joy! Check it out below, a Canon Camera Lens Mug, that looks JUST LIKE a Canon 24-105mm lens! It’s equipped with a lens-cap lid, rubber-grip focus and zoom rings, and an auto-focus switch that actually switches! It’s so realistic, you might have to use post-its just to remind yourself which is your mug and which is your lens!
On a “Personal Note”…This is how fast I ordered it…I saw it about 15 minutes ago and it’s already been ordered! Hopefully I can get it soon so I can show it off to all my photographer geek friends, and I have a lot of them! LOL… Until it arrives, I’ll be dreaming about how much fun I’ll have sipping coffee in it…

If you like Korean BBQ or a meat lover, this is the place to be this Saturday, August 7, 2010! The Second Annual Korean BBQ Cook-off, showcasing a selection of the best dishes by top Korean barbecue restaurants and vendors.
Admission is free, and all plates will be sold for $5 each. Last year’s Cook-off drew over 10,000 people, and this year’s event will feature more restaurants, a larger selection of vendors and a larger venue.
Here is some more information about the event. I won’t be going this weekend, I will be at Club 33 at Disneyland so I will have to catch this “Meat Lover” event next year.

When I met Abby at a the S Fine Dining Wedding Show early this year, she just lite up the room with her smile. I just wanted to share some photos of Abby and Jay during their engagement shoot in Padua Hills in Claremont. Padua Hills is a wondering place to take engagement photos in Los Angeles before your wedding. The perfect weather, perfect location, and perfect couple made the photos breath taking!

On a “Personal Note”… I love how Abby kept her engagement session photos simple and elegant. When selecting an engagement shoot wardrobe, sometimes a lot less goes a long way. Keeping it simple and adding accent colors is a great way to express and make your photos pop!

It’s been awhile since I’ve been to an event or even leave the house for the past couple of months, but today is a special day I’m heading out with son and with the beautiful gorgeous sunny SoCal weather, it’s hard to pass this event up. We’ll (my son and I) be going to Utterly Engaged HoeDown BBQ Picnic at the Irvine Ranch Park, in Orange from 6-9pm.

The hat was a little pricey but well worth it for photos, so I don’t mind forking over the $24.99 for the infant hat he can only wear for the next month! He will be stylin’ in his new outfit to his first HoeDown party!
P. P. S…I have many many more baby hats to show off, and this is just one of them …what can I say…I’m infatuated with baby hats…they are just so cute!
I have certainly not been as active as I want to be on my website and my blog due to one main reason, I recently became a mother and yes, to all my mothers out there… motherhood is WONDERFUL!
I wanted to update everyone and let them know there will be upcoming new changes to the website and blog, I am in the progress of giving both our sites a fresh new look. I have SO MANY beautiful photos from our clients and events we’ve worked that I have not been able to post yet and share with our upcoming brides for inspiration. I just love soft pink spring colors for a spring wedding. The All Made Up Team, Orange County makeup artist and wedding hair stylist, had the honor of working on Tina’s makeup and hair at her wedding this summer and be a part of her special day. She was the most pleasant and beautiful bride to work with and looked stunning with her low bun wedding hair updo. Tina wanted a timeless and elegant wedding hair updo that absolutely make her look stunning on her wedding day. Kristin Brancaleone of The Treasured Petal, created a “Sex In the City Bouquet” for our last workshop I worked on with Jasmine Star Photographer, called “The Workshop” focusing on branding for photographers.
Kristin a fabulous florist in Orange County created a bouquet, that was Sex In the City inspired by choosing unique elements that stand-out, for example pink flowers with playful textures and interesting shapes. The big pink princess protea in the middle is the star of the bouquet. Including gathered fuchsia gloriosa lilies, sweet peas, ranuncula, Italian heather (hot stuff!), and perfect white hyacinth.
The ostrich and polka dotted guinea feathers complimented the black feathery center of the protea and added a little whimsy and movement to the bouquet. It was tied with white satin, draped it with black beads and more guinea feathers around the base. Black cocque tail feathers fluttering out from the bottom, like a feather duster that one of those jaunty little French maids might carry. LOL!
For all you Carry Bradshaw fans, we all hope you like this trendy, youthful, and fabulous Sex In the City inspired bouquet created for this special photo shoot with Jasmine Star and the All Made Up Team! Thank you Kristin for always producing creative and unique masterpieces…we LOVE YOU!!!
